Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Hello, you stunning people, you!

First..
Thank you for putting up with my maudlin state of mind. You have been most gracious about all of the doom and gloom tossed out of me lately.

Due to my having been missing in action during the fires around here, I am sorely behind in the favs and comments department. Trust me, I am ashamed..all pink and stuff..LOL

So basically, since I have just a couple of friends I watch here (Riiiight! LMAO!), plus I am a member of some of the most prolific, crazy, and yet loveable groups (gods, people! 2500 entries in one alone?!?! Are you people NUTS???) on dA, I am going to claim fatigue and just plain laziness.

There is no way in any level of the hells, that I can catch up. So, sue me. That's right, I said sue me.

As prolific as all of you nut jobs (I mean gorgeous people) are, I know that I will eventually see all of your works, but it AIN'T gonna be any time soon! Please refer to the statement regarding suability in the above paragraph.
